I am a Lecturer in Power Systems in the Institute for Energy Futures at Brunel University London.  My research interests are nonlinear dynamics and sustainable energy infrastructure. I am a graduate of the Engineering Science Program at the University of Toronto, in Canada (0T1+PEY), and received the MASc and PhD degrees in electrical engineering in 2005 and 2010 respectively.  My advisors were Prof Manfredi Maggiore and Prof Peter Lehn.

Previously, I have enjoyed working at the KU Leuven from 2012-2015 in the ELECTA group with Associate Professor Dirk Van Hertem and Professor Ronnie Belmans on high voltage transmission flexibility, security, and reliability, and investment recovery, with industrial partners ABB, Elia, and Vattenfall. I also enjoyed working from 2009-2012 in the Electrical Power Systems group at the Delft University of Technology with Professor Mart van der Meijden, in collaboration with Professor Madeleine Gibescu and the late Professor Wil L. Kling at TU Eindhoven, on wind and solar integration issues and balancing markets.

Thanks for your visit!
